Cancun Palace All Inclusive Resort Advices

As soon as you decide to go for a vacation in one of the top destinations in the world, that is Cancun, in Mexico, sooner or later you need to decide where you are going to stay. Are you going for a self catering apartment, a villa or an all inclusive resort? Whatever you choose, there again you face another problem – which apartment, villa or resort? Irrespective whether you want to spend your days in an apartment, villa or a resort, you have a good selection of choices.

If you have decided to stay in an all inclusive resort, which to be honest is a unique experience compared with the other two options, one of the resorts quite well known among visitors is no doubt the Cancun Palace. It is a leading five star resort which caters for all your needs irrespective what your needs are. The beauty of Cancun Palace is simply extraordinary, and Cancun beaches are better than the resort.  Most travelers whom have never stayed in such luxurious resorts, they all have the same excitement on their arrival at the resort, they simply remain bewildered by the beauty of Cancun Palace Resort.

Further to the luxury of the resort itself, at Cancun Palace Resort one can find a wide variety of amenities, services and entertainment above others. I won’t list all that information regarding the resort, because you can find it on the official Palace Resorts website or authorized travel agents like All Inclusive Holidays Worldwide. But I will list a number of tips coming from my own personal experience when I stayed at the Cancun Palace Resort that you won’t find anywhere and hope that you will find this information useful.

Tip 1: Tours
a) Palace Resorts are offering the 25th Silver Anniversary promotion where basically a number of interesting tours and discounts to be used at the resort are on offer. This promotion is valued up to $1000 per person with no exceptions.

b) The tours CANNOT be booked prior your arrival, no travel agent can do it irrespective what others say.

c) When you arrive at the resort, make the check in and immediately afterwards go and book your FREE tours at the tours desk. Ask the receptionist to tell you where the booking desk is and book your tours immediately.  Do not go to your room prior booking the tours.

d) You may be asking why? If the resort is half full, it can be very hard to find a slot since places for the tours are limited. So BOOK on your arrival. If you stay for 7 days, you have more chance to find available dates. 

Tip 2: Rooms
a) If possible try to stay in a room on the top floors of the resort. The main reason for this choice is because there is live music in the lobby and the sound is load. The music goes on till 1am.

b)You may also find some people which are heavily boozed and may disturb your sleep with noises especially around the pool area.

Tip 3: Restaurants and Barsa) If you like oriental food MIYAKO Japanese restaurant is a must visit and reservation is required for teppanyaki tables. Even if you have never eaten Japanese food, give it try. You maybe surprised how exquisite it is. If you don’t like it, just leave and find another restaurant – pretty simple isn’t it?

b) In the evening a must visit restaurant is Frida where you can eat grilled steak, shrimp, ribs, chicken, and a couple of nights lobster. Staying outside it means you can be overlooking the beach area and it will be such a great atmosphere with all that tasty selection of food and some drinks.

Tip 4: Tipping the servers
a) This question is often asked and to be honest it is very simple to answer. Tips are included with the cost of your stay, so you don’t have to tip. However there are always exceptions to the rules, and personally I do tip $1 or $2 to those servers that I feel that they went over and above their duties. But it is up to you, you don’t have to tip if you don’t want to.

Tip 5: The Pool
a) The pool is massive and absolutely beautiful. So if you do not go to the beach, you will spend most of your time at the pool. At the pool there are some activities going on but you don’t need to participate. If you want to stay away from the activities area, go to the right side of the pool facing the ocean and you will be quite away from the activity area and you may relax and enjoy the sun, the view and why not a cold beer or a drink! Umbrellas for shade and pool chairs are in abundance provided that not all the guests decided to stay by the pool !

Tip 6: The beach
a) The beach is fantastic with beautiful blue clear water. Depending on the month you visit the Cancun Palace, you may expect some waves (very nice to jump into though) and of course the beach may vary from month to month during the year.

Tip 7: Night Life
a) The only night life in the resort is the live band at the lobby where you can meet other guests and have a chat and a drink there. You may meet interesting people there by the way. But if you are not tired, it may be wise to go out in the surrounding bars and nightclubs in Cancun and you are very close to them! So go out and enjoy yourself.
